Phototherapy is a form of medically supervised light therapy used to treat a variety of skin conditions, particularly psoriasis and eczema. We offer a variety of light treatments as listed below. All forms of light treatment can be extremely effective for the treatment of psoriasis and other skin conditions with a response rate up to 90%. Depending on the light treatment, it may require treatments as frequently as three times per week or as little as once a week. Because light treatments can have side effects including risks for burns, eye damage, and cancer risk later, we highly recommend close medical supervision of phototherapy. Depending on the diagnosis, a third party such as insurance or Medicare will often reimburse for light treatments at a medical office.
